The Flash follows Barry Allen, a police scientist who tries to uncover the truth of his mother's murder and clear his fathers name. His search leads him to a particle accelerator. When the accelerator causes an explosion Allen is struck by lighting, and enters a coma for nine months, He awakes to discover he has the ability to move at near impossible speeds
