Tom Hardy has officially dropped out of his role in the upcoming DC's Villain Ensemble movie Suicide Squad.
Director David Ayer is now eyeing his End of Watch star Jake Gyllenhall to replace Hardy as the Suicide Squad leader Rick Flag. Although he may not have earned an Oscar nom Gyllenhaal has generated a lot of buzz for his role in last years Nightcrawler.
Gyllenhaal would be joining Will Smith as Dead Shot Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jared Leto as The Joker.
Suicide Squad is scheduled to shoot in April and will be released Aug 5th 2016
